Creating your multi-day experience

Learn how to plan, schedule and manage check-in's for a multi-day trip in GetHomeSafe

Access to these multi-day enhancements is restricted to our Beta testing community; please contact support@gethomesafe.com to join.
Note: The Fieldworker add-on is required for a multi-day experience. The Travel and Out-of-coverage add-ons are recommended for a comprehensive multi-day experience.

Step 1: Plan your multi-day activity in the web portal

  • Complete the "User & Timer" section.
    • Select the "Time of Day" timer type. This will act as your first check-in time for your multi-day trip. For example: 20:00 (See screenshot below. Don't worry this can be changed by your team leader later).
  • Complete the "Journey Details" section.
    • Optional (Travel add-on required): Enter your multi-day waypoints.
  • Complete the "Additional Information" section (if you are requiring to add supporting information and documentation to your multi-day trip).
  • Once you have completed all necessary field select "Next" and select "Plan for Later" where you will be directed to Schedule your multi-day trip.

Step 2: Schedule your multi-day trip

  • Name your multi-day trip.
  • Select your multi-day trip start time and end time.
  • To save changes select "Plan for Later".

 

Step 3. Starting your scheduled multi-day activity:

  • Open the GetHomeSafe app.
  • Your scheduled activity will appear on the main screen click "View".

  • A summary of your multi-day trip will appear. To begin your multi-day trip select "Start activity".

During your multi-day trip

During your activity your team leader can adjust the timer in the web portal and:

  • Set your next check-in time,
  • Input the location of the user which is recorded as a manual check-in and,
  • Record changes of plan in the "Note" field.

Out-of-coverage experience during your multi-day activity

Note: Currently, the out-of-coverage experience for a multi-day activity is restricted to devices from the following providers: Zoleo, Pivotel, and TrackMe and Garmin.

If you are using a GPS device you can:

  • Start an unscheduled multi-day activity,
  • Check-in during your multi-day activity you can set your next check-in time via your device to a future time of day and,
  • End your multi-day activity from your GPS device.
