Using your GPS device during your multi-day activity

Learn how to start and manage a multi-day trip from your GPS device

Note: Currently, the out-of-coverage experience for a multi-day activity is restricted to devices from the following providers: Zoleo, Pivotel, and TrackMe and Garmin.

If you are using a GPS device you can:

  • Start an unscheduled multi-day activity,
  • Check-in during your multi-day activity you can set your next check-in time via your device to a future time of day and,
  • End your multi-day activity from your GPS device.

Your team leader can browse previous messages and filter GPS device events in the activity timeline.

Starting an unscheduled multi-day activity from a GPS device

Starting a multi-day trip
  • #start[first check-in time]: For example use #start8pm to start a multi-day trip with your first check-in at 8pm that day.

Checking in during a multi-day trip
Check-in via your GPS device with the following commands:
  • #extend[check-in time same day]: For example #extend9pm for a specific next check-in time for the current day.
  • #extend[check-in time next day]+T: For example #extend8pm+T for a specific next check-in time for the following day.

Completing a multi-day trip
  • #homesafe: Finishes your GetHomeSafe activity.
