Updating user's details

This article covers how to edit and update user details in the GetHomeSafe web portal

In GetHomeSafe, users can update their own details, while administrators have the ability to update the details of any user through the web portal.

How to Access a User’s Profile

  1. Log in to the GetHomeSafe Web Portal
  2. Go to the Manage section and select Users
  3. Find and select the user whose details you want to update
You'll be taken to a screen with four sections:
  • Profile
  • Notifications
  • Account
  • Log

 

Profile

In this section, you can update key personal and account information.

Details:
  • First and last name
  • Teams the user is part of (you can add or remove them from teams)
  • Country and time zone
  • Admin access (enable or disable via toggle)
Contact Details:
  • Email address
  • CC email address
  • Mobile and alternative phone numbers

 

Notifications

Customize how the user receives notifications related to their activities and the system.

Activities:
  • Include a calendar invite in start/finish activity emails
  • Choose check-in reminder channels: Email, Push Notification, SMS
  • Check-in reminders for GPS devices
  • Follow-up notifications when a supervisor follows up on an activity
  • Alerts for activities started outside of the app (from dashboard or GPS device)
  • Schedule start reminders: Set time thresholds and choose delivery method (Email, SMS, Push, Phone Call)
System Notifications:
  • Toggle email notifications for system changes
Optional Alerts:

Set alert notifications and channels for:
  • Overdue activities
  • No auto check-in
  • Low battery
  • Email alerts when an SMS notification fails to send
Dashboard Alerts:
  • Enable sound notifications in the web portal when an activity requires attention
Email Summaries:
  • Enable weekly or monthly activity summaries

 

Account

View general account information and invitation history.

Info:
  • User ID
  • Account creation date
  • Registration completion date
Invitation Details:
  • Method of invitation
  • Who invited the user
  • Date of invitation

 

Log

The log provides a detailed history related to the user, including:
  • Activity history
  • Notification delivery
  • Check-ins
  • Login attempts (successful and unsuccessful)
  • Incorrect password entries
  • Records of who has viewed the user’s activities
  • And more
