Privacy Controls Feature
A guide on the Privacy Controls Feature, how to use it and how it works.
Enabling privacy controls for an organisation allows for user activity location data to be hidden from supervisors or administrators. This includes the journey map and check-in locations.
The supervisor or administrator must first request permission from the user to view their location data. The user will be notified via email. They can choose to approve or decline the request. If a request is approved, the supervisor or administrator can view location data for that activity, even if the status changes. If their request is declined, location data will stay hidden. They can re-request access if needed.
Privacy controls can be customised to apply only to specific activity statuses, including Active, Low Battery, No Auto Check-In, Completed, and Cancelled. For alert statuses such as Panic, Overdue, No Movement, Silent, and Missed Start, location data will always be visible and cannot be restricted through settings. Users will always have access to their own activity’s location data regardless of which statuses are enabled.
Privacy controls allow for a dashboard map zoom restriction to be set, this setting limits the amount a supervisor can zoom into an activity’s location data.

The “disable map only view” setting disables the ability to access the map only view on the home dashboard.
