How do I cancel an alert?

This article explains how to cancel active alerts in the GetHomeSafe app or web portal

Most alerts can be turned off by following one of the four methods in the list below. 

Note - Silent Alerts, however, can only be cancelled using methods 2, 3, or 4

  1. From your GetHomeSafe app, select the cancel alert button.
  2. Log into your web portal and select your alerted activity. On the right-hand side of your activity details page select ‘I Got Home Safe’.
  3. There is a link in the ‘alert sent’ optional email, open the link and select ‘confirm’. (this optional email must be enabled in your apps settings for it to send).
  4. Your supervisors can send you an SMS message or email requesting you cancel the alert. If you receive one of these requests, open the link and select ‘Confirm’.
