A troubleshooting guide on managing and using V.BTTNs

Inconsistent Connection
If a mobile device and V.BTTN are having trouble connecting, try the following to resolve the issue:

• Refresh the GetHomeSafe app
• Turn the V.BTTN off and wait for 60 seconds before reactivating
• Turn the V.BTTN on by pressing and holding for 10+ seconds
• Unpair then re-pair the V.BTTN via the app’s Settings menu
• Disconnect all other Bluetooth devices from the mobile device
• Remove and replace the battery of the V.BTTN


Inconsistent Responsiveness
The instructions a V.BTTN sends the GetHomeSafe app cannot be processed without a current location being known. They also require a confirmation from the server that the instruction has been processed before the app will send notification of success. This process can take some time, especially if the network is busy or you have a weak signal.

Repeatedly pressing the V.BTTN while the app is already processing a button press can cause problems. This includes activating a Panic Alert when trying to check in as OK. Be patient and give the app some time to process instructions.
