Where is my two factor authentication code?
GetHomeSafe two factor authentication codes are generated by third party apps, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, and are not sent via text message or email.
This is a common question our support team receives due to the differing ways two factor authentication works on other platforms. GetHomeSafe utilises authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator for 2FA.
Once you have set up two factor authentication for GetHomeSafe in one of these apps, the codes for GetHomeSafe will appear in your chosen authenticator app. These are six-digit codes that will often change and expire every 30 or 60 seconds. Input the code associated with your GetHomeSafe account and you will be good to go!
GetHomeSafe does not send authentication codes via SMS (text message) or email like some other services do, and instead only uses the authenticator apps like previously mentioned. If you are unable to find the code in your authenticator app, or forgot to set it up in one of these apps, get in contact with our support team at support@gethomesafe.com and we will be happy to reset your two factor authentication for you, allowing you to set it up again.
