Troubleshooting - Sound & Notifications

This article explains how to check your notification settings in the app to ensure they’re configured correctly to receive alert & reminder sounds

Note - It’s important to make sure your notification permissions are set up correctly. Notification delivery and sound can vary depending on your device and system settings, which may impact your ability to receive notifications from GetHomeSafe.

How do I review my notification settings?

You can review your notification settings directly within the GetHomeSafe app and run a quick test to confirm everything is working as expected.
  1. Open the GetHomeSafe app
  2. Tap Settings from the bottom menu
  3. Under Advanced Settings:
    • Make sure Alert & Reminder Sounds is enabled (this is on by default)
    • Tap Settings Check
In the Settings Check section, GetHomeSafe will flag any settings on your phone that might interfere with notification delivery. You’ll also see recommendations for:
  1. Bluetooth and Car Audio connections

Finally, tap Test Notification to confirm that your alerts are configured correctly.
