Battery Optimisation
Covers the three different battery optimisation modes available in the GetHomeSafe app.
To ensure that your GetHomeSafe app functions efficiently while conserving your device's battery life, we offer three distinct battery optimisation levels. These settings allow you to tailor the app's GPS tracking capabilities according to your needs and battery preferences. Below is a detailed explanation of each level:
-
High Precision:
- This setting is designed for users who require the utmost accuracy in GPS tracking. By selecting High Precision, the app will request the highest possible GPS accuracy available from your device. This is ideal for situations where precise location data is critical. However, it's important to note that this level of accuracy will consume the most battery power, so it is best used when your device is connected to a power source or when battery life is not a concern.
-
Regular (Default):
- The Regular setting is the default option and provides a balanced approach to GPS tracking. It offers reasonable accuracy without significantly draining your battery, making it suitable for everyday use. This setting is recommended for most users, as it effectively balances performance and battery consumption, ensuring that your device remains operational throughout the day.
-
Battery Saver:
- For those who prioritize battery life over GPS accuracy, the Battery Saver mode is the optimal choice. This setting minimises battery usage by reducing the frequency and precision of GPS tracking. As a result, the auto-check-in period is shortened to 15 minutes, which may affect the timeliness of location updates. This mode is particularly useful when your device's battery is low, or when you need to extend battery life for an extended period without access to charging facilities.
